Comment : I served onboard from 1969 to 1971. I believe the guy in photo 1 of 7th cruise with the shirt unbuttoned is Gean Kearns. I also was onboard during the totem pole pickup and delivery.

I believe my dad(maybe a 12-year-old boy then) and his entire family was on one of the LST ships at Feb 10, 1955, when the 7th fleet was involved in the evacuation of Tachen Islands. My grandfather was one of the county officers.
